You may order a FREE Trans Union
credit report by calling 1-800-888-4213. You may request a FREE
Trans Union credit report through Trans Union's interactive voice
response system. Trans Union credit reports are FREE if you:
- Have been denied credit, in the
last sixty days, and the company used a TransUnion credit
report.
- Are a resident of Colorado,
Georgia, Massachusetts, Maryland, New Jersey, or Vermont.
- Are unemployed and plan to seek
employment in the next sixty days
- Are a welfare recipient
- Have been a victim of fraud
Free Trans Union credit reports can
only be ordered by phone or mail. Get a copy of your Trans Union
credit report by writing to:

Your request should include:
Name, Address, Phone number, Previous addresses in the past two years,
SS#, Birth Date, Employer, Signature, Payment.

You should
review your Trans Union credit reports at least once a year.
According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act, anyone denied credit
based on information contained in Trans Union credit reports must
be notified. The company that denied you credit will tell you from
what credit reporting agency they obtained your credit reports and
how you can get your FREE credit reports, if you request a credit
report within 60 days.
